Hello Everyone,

 

So this past week has been busy!  It feels like we haven't gotten a break in forever haha but that's ok there are no breaks when your on the Lords errand!  Last week we had a zone training that happened in Holbrook!  We were able to train the zone on finding!  It went really well!  We counciled together with our district leaders and we all decided that out finding has been really down and we all know we can do better so we decided to just train on finding!  So it went great we asked many different elders throughout the zone to help us train on different things like Activities that help us find (yard sales, lemonade stands, movie nights), Having the faith to find (always staying positive even if you face a whole day of rejection),  And Then we talked about the importance of talking to everyone and how to talk to everyone!  At the end we got everyone together and decided to make a zone goal of how many new investigators we can find by the end of the month!  We came up with 140!  I am definitely not a numbers kind of guy but I think it was good to set a goal that we can all stretch for and that will keep us motivated to find more!  We have already been able to see the number go up from what the zone was able to do last week!  Yesterday was incredible we had the opportunity to go to the Snowflake, AZ temple I cant believe  it has been a whole year since we went last time!  So that was awesome to do!  Being able to walk into there not worrying about the time or where you had to be or anything just being shut off from the world it was nice!  Last night after we got back from the temple we had the opportunity to have interviews with President Batt!  I love interviews its hard to believe it has been 3 months since the last one happened!  I love being able to just sit down with President Batt and being able to just talk to him!  I can learn so much from him!  So that was nice to do that last night again!  So last night after me and Elder Carpenter were done with our interviews we were walking out of the church and WE ALMOST DIED!  haha So here is the story!  We both open the door of the church honestly take 2 steps outside the church and all of the sudden we just see the brightest light I have ever seen in my life!  It was only there for like less then a second not even enough time for me to even think about what it was!  Right as I looked up me and elder carpenter both heard the loudest crack of thunder we have ever heard in our lives!  This Crack was so close the hair on our heads both stood up from all the static electricity and It was so loud it dropped us to our knees!  While me and elder carpenter are both down on our knees im looking around trying to figure what the heck just went on I had so many different thoughts going through my head my first thought was honestly oh my gosh someone just shot elder carpenter haha but then I looked at him and he seemed to be fine then I thought oh my gosh someone just shot me haha so im checking myself all over then I finally think oh man that was lightning oh man oh man oh man the next thought that went through my head was man I just got struck by lightning im probably dead right now!  So im looking all over around me trying to see if I can see my body lying on the ground somewhere!  haha This was honestly exactly what I was thinking Then after not seeing my body I new I was fine so then me and elder carpenter take off for the truck Jumped in!  We were shaking so bad!  After we were in the truck President and sister batt came running out of the church wondering what just happened!  haha oh boy!  Im started to wonder how many lives I have left out here! But it just goes to show the protection that the lord gives to his missionaries! I love you all have a great week!
