It is safe to say Elder Rushton misses his Native Friends!

"Take it EEAASSSYYY!!!"

Going to miss this guy so much!  Elder Rushton and Elder Tucker

Hello Everyone,

So this past week was so fun!  I was able to make it to Winslow, AZ on Tuesday!  From then on it has been so fun!  The town is just an older town that is pretty much ran by the railroad that is where most of the jobs come from here!  I was able to see the famous corner haha in the eagles song!  It was cool on Friday they had a talent show at the corner where a bunch of people came and did different things it was really cool to see!  The people we teach here in Winslow are mostly Navajo,  I love Navajo's!  We also teach a couple Hopi people which is really cool too!  Anyway Elder Carpenter is a great companion we work great together and most importantly we have so much fun!  We have a wall mart in our area which is so nice!  Its cool that I got lucky enough to have a wall mart because there is honestly only 5 walmarts within our whole mission haha so when you get lucky enough to have one you feel pretty lucky!  So here in Winslow we cover 2 wards and we share the area with the sister missionaries (Sister Farnsworth and Steele)  Great sisters  Anyway the sisters teach all the less active people and some recent converts and we work with the investigators so everyone we teach is an investigator it has been pretty cool!   We cover the Brigham City ward and the Sunset ward!  Lots of people! I have kind of been having a hard time with names but haha it will come haha I will learn!  There are some great people here and im just excited to be able to get to work here!  It should be great!  Have a great week and stay safe :)

Hello everyone,

So this past Monday we had a zone activity it was pretty fun we got together as a zone and had so much fun!  We decided to come up with like 6 different activities and the winner of the most activities would win a grand prize!  We did everything from lightning basketball to water balloon throwing at the zone leaders and district leaders contest!  I mean who doesn't want to throw a water balloon at there zone leaders?  So that was fun!  It was just nice to be able to have fun with one another once again!  This Saturday we received transfer news its always kind of a crazy night!  We have to call each district leader and tell them who is getting transferred and to where and what day they leave, where to be at, and what time they will arrive to there new area and who will be there temporary companions all along the way!  I give the two assistants to the president so much credit for having to put together all that information that's gotta be hard!  So with the transfer news we found out im going to be getting transferred to Winslow, AZ!  So looks like back to Arizona I go!  Im excited to see what Winslow has and excited to meet the people there!  Im definitely always gonna remember Aztec! I went through lots of ups and downs in my time here!  I will always remember the ward, there are so many great people within the ward!  God sent me to Aztec for a reason and that was to shape me into exactly what he wanted me to learn!  I have never learned so much and grown so much as my time here in Aztec!  Im so greatfull for everything everyone has done for me in my time here!  Much love!

Cole and Elder Chipmans Garden!  Pretty funny!  He won't even be there when its harvested!

Hello Everyone,

So we had a pretty successful week this week!  Seemed like things just flowed right along!  It was kind of funny what happened this week on Friday we were finishing up with our companionship study and we hear a doorbell!  Well the only time we ever hear a doorbell is when we have a package so we both jump up and go running down stairs shouting yes package, package, package!  We swing the door open and oh boy we didn't have a package haha the jehovas witness missionaries were standing right there at our door!  Man were we shocked we went from thinking there was a package to oh shoot J-dubs! Haha so we were friendly and talked to them obviously they knew we were lds but we never once bashed with them I did ask them why they had no windows on there church haha ive always wondered that!  Anyway I have learned on my mission to never bash with someone it never helps it only hurts!  Your never going to prove your right the only way to prove your right is by the holy ghost and someone is never going to feel that if your bashing!  So on Saturday they had what is called the Aztec Fiesta Days there was a big carnival and lots of people so we went to it!  We went there with 6 book of Mormons and left with 0 it was great we were able to talk to a lot of people.  2 people gave us their address and told us to come see them because they wanted to learn more it was great!  There is power behind the book of Mormon that is truly the evidence of everything we have!  We invited everyone to read it!  So truly you cant say our church isn't true until you at least read the book of Mormon!  Anyway we had a great week!  I want to wish my best buddy Elder Harral the best of luck as he enters the MTC this week I love him to death he has been there through thick and thin for me!  Just work hard, don't quit, and learn to love it!  We will be New Mexico Brothas for life!

Hello Everyone,

So this past week went pretty good!  We had a MLC (mission leadership council)  Last Tuesday!  Those are so great!  I always come away from those so uplifted and excited to get back to work!  So that was great!  I heard this past week that Megan and Nessa and Aleacia were able to get baptized in Lukachukai!  That made my day!  I was so happy for them and the decision that they were able to make!  Those are some great girls and im happy for the time that I was able to spend with them!  Things here in Aztec have been just about the same!  We were able to meet with our bery sincere investigators again!  (the pastor and his wife)  They are coming along great!  I have never taught someone who is so sincere then they are!  We taught them the plan of salvation and they had a lot of questions with it!  I think since it was so new to them of course they are going to have some questions!  That is something that is so special that we have is we have all the answers to the plan of salvation we know gods plan for us why were here, where were going, and where we were before this life!  They loved the fact of the 3 kingdoms of glory!  When someone only hears heaven or hell there whole life and you throw something in like the 3 kingdoms of glory its something that they have never heard before I love seeing the reation on peoples faces when we teach it!  The fun part of the plan of salvation is most of the scriptural doctrine can be found in the bible!  When we taught it They both looked at each other and said "wow ok so that is what paul talks about in corenthians when he mentions the third heaven"  when I  heard that I was smiling so big and it hit me we truly do have the fullness of the doctrine of jesus Christ!  I am so greatfull to have a prophet who is able to lead us in the right way and to be able to help us find these things in the gospel!  Anyway have a great week everyone and take care!
